Jake Brasch: (Book, Music and Lyrics)
Jake Brasch is a graduate of New York University Tisch–Experimental Theatre Wing and The New Studio on Broadway for Musical Theatre. He is an alumni of the Denver School of the Arts. He is an award-winning playwright, composer, performer and pianist. His plays have been produced in Denver, Chicago, D.C, Edinburgh and New York. He composes music for film, musical theatre and opera. His play “Greenland” was recently produced at Dixon Place in Manhattan. His play “DELIVERANCE: A Play with Fetal Lullabies by Chuck” is currently in workshops and is set to premiere in NYC in the Summer of 2017. He is the Artistic Director of The Red String Ensemble and Donger-in-Chief of The Ding Dong Clambake, a theatre collective and singing telegram enterprise.

Eli Carpenter: (Director):

Eli Carpenter is currently the assistant director at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Assistant Directing this season’s The Secret Garden directed by Jenn Thompson, The Christians directed by Kent Thompson, and Frankenstein directed by Tony Award nominee Sam Buntrock. Last season he assisted on the Denver Center’s production of Sweeney Todd with new orchestrations by Grammy nominated, DeVotchKa. In 2017, Eli assistant directed a reading of Hanussen by Robert Schenkkan. Other notable credits include assistant directing Ragtime, directed by Erin Ortman and The Secret Garden, directed by Tony Award nominee, Marsha Milgrom Dodge. Additionally, Eli has assistant directed off-broadway on The Wading Pool. Previously, Eli worked for the Broadway, television, and film casting agency, Telsey + Company. Eli is a graduate of New York University where he majored in Directing and minored in Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. Eli is a member of the 2017 Lincoln Center Director’s Lab.
Shawn Hann: (Director):

Shawn Hann has a MFA in Directing from Roosevelt University/Chicago College of the Performing Arts and BA in Communication/Theatre Arts Education from University of Northern Iowa. This is Ms. Hann’s 16th year as the Director of Theatre at the Denver School of the Arts, 23nd year teaching. This is her fourth Edinburgh Fringe Show with student actors, last here in 2013 with A Glee Inspired Romeo and Juliet and in 2008 with The Inconvenient Truths (4 Stars by the Scotsman) DSA CREDITS: The Producers, The Rest is Silence, The Learned Ladies, The Little Mermaid, Jr, Moon Over Buffalo, Spring Awakening (National Thespian Mainstage 2016), The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later, Hairspray, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Shrek: The Musical, The Crucible, Noises Off, Avenue Q, Almost Maine, Disney’s Tarzan the Musical, The Importance of Being Earnest, Hamlet, Of Mice and Men, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. AWARDS: Mayor’s Award for Excellence in ARTS & CULTURE In School Arts (2015), Juilliard Directing Fellow (2012), Educational Theatre Association’s National Theatre Educator of the Year (2011) and the Alliance for Colorado Theatre Middle School Educator of the Year (2005).
Austin Allen: (Technical Director & Production Manager):

Austin Allen is a freelance designer and theatre artist based in Los Angeles. After graduating from DSA in 2011, he attended the University of Southern California where he obtained a BFA in Theatrical Design. His designs have been seen from Los Angeles to New York City, working in everything from lighting, scenic, and projections. Austin is excited and proud to return to DSA and the Fringe to bring these new shows to life.

Jimmy Bruenger: (Choreographer):
Jimmy Bruenger is an Actor, Director and Choreographer around the state of Colorado and a recent Theatre Major graduate from Denver School of the Arts (Class of 2017). Currently pursing a Marketing Degree from the University of Denver. Creative Credits: Denver School of the Arts: The Woods -Director, The Little Mermaid -Choreographer, Macbeth -Assistant Director, Baba Yaga-Assistant Director, Too Much Light: Slapped With Reality-Writer/Performer/Choreographer. American Academy: Annie-Choreographer, Seussical-Director/Choreographer, Disney’s Peter Pan-Choreographer. Miners Alley Playhouse: You Can’t Take It With You -Assistant Director. Excited to be a part of this years festival after being onstage during the 2013 Season as Romeo in A Glee Inspired Romeo & Juliet.
